Truckle came to us from William's cousin, Darryl Brost. After selling "Sister" in 2006, we needed a FAST hazing horse to keep up with AJ. Darryl had team roped both ends on Truckle and had him really solid. William tried him out and thought he would fill the bill. Truckle was a natural on the hazing side. He was great in the corner, could REALLY run and wasn't afraid to bump one if need be. He went from small town Consul, Saskatchewan to the bright lights of Edmonton for the CFR, and other "big ones" like Pendleton, Ponoka and Cheyenne not to mention all the small rodeos in between.
Curtis Cassidy said this about Truckle,
"No one should ever miss a haze on this horse - he makes it so easy."
The guys called him a "Cadillac" to haze on.Truckle always had a little "fire" to him - not afraid to hump up on the cold day or snort when you'd go out to catch him.
Thanks for trying so hard for us all those times Truckle, we miss you! |
